JC LAB’s BIMC-12A has long been a stalwart of reliable microscopy providing a solid platform for imaging. For the 2018-2019 model year, we upgrade the BIMC-12A with new optics and mechanics normally only found in more expensive models, we have ensured this line’s competitiveness and performance well into the next decade. The upgrades include changes to the entry level objectives which now start at JC LAB’s new Plan configuration.

OPTICAL SYSTEM

• WF10x, WF16x eyepiece
• Plan Achromatic, color-coded 4x, 10x, 40x (s), 100x (s) (oil) objectives provide 40x - 1600x magnification.
• Revolving objective turret has positive click stops for easy, precise magnification changes.

ILLUMINATION

• New Technology S-LED Illumination (Cold and soft light protect your eyes)
• Rechargeable LED illumination with intensity adjustment

FOCUSING

• Coaxial Coarse and Fine Adjustment, Fine Division 0.0002mm, Moving Range 22mm
• Tension adjustment eliminates focus drift.
• Upper limit stop preset but adjustable by screw, to prevents damage to slides and lenses.

STAGE

• 142 x 134mm Double Layers Mechanical Stage
• N.A. 1.25 with iris diaphragm lever for height adjustability, provides a more sophisticated method of controlling the sub-stage illumination, and assists in obtaining optimum image resolution and contrast

FRAME

• Rugged cast metal with inclination joint, gray enamel finish.

PACKING

• Molded Styrofoam container with vinyl dustcover.
